When you purchase a membership you will be required to select a group which determines the NL Active locations you will have access to. The higher the group, the more locations you can access (Group 1 being the highest).
You don’t have to be a member to use our facilities, but if you’re a frequent visitor, purchasing an NL Active membership will save you money.
If you are aged 66 or over you can get fit for free in NL Active facilities with two months' access to the gym, swimming and virtual fitness classes. Find further information on our fit for free page.

Yes, our one month membership is perfect for those who want to give our facilities a try, or who are only in the area for a short time. These memberships give you access any NL Active facility during the month and have no joining fee. You can purchase a one month membership online.

Yes, of course. Although a membership will save you money if you’re a frequent visitor, all of our activities are available to book per session. Find our price list here.
Yes, North Lincolnshire residents in receipt of a qualifying benefit or who meet the qualifying criteria can sign-up and access concessionary rates on a range of NL Active activities by purchasing an Active Concession Card.
You can purchase an Active Concession Card from any NL Active facility with proof of address and circumstance. Cards cost £6 and are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. Savings can be made on:

Proof of circumstance for Active Concession Cards
When purchasing your Active Concession Card, you will need to bring proof of residency and an awarding letter (dated within the last three months) relating to your circumstance.
If you are applying for an Active Concession Card as a full-time student or an apprentice, you will need to provide a letter from your education establishment or your employer. The letter should confirm you are in full time education or on a full-time training scheme.

Yes, we offer a corporate membership discount to any workplaces that have 5 or more employees that would like to use NL Active facilities to keep active. The corporate membership gives a 10% discount on our Fitness+ membership. To find out more about this scheme and get signed up email memberships@northlincs.gov.uk
All of our memberships are non-committed so can be cancelled at any time, but if you’d like to suspend your membership you can do so with an admin charge of £5 per month. The minimum suspension time is 1 month with a minimum notice period of 14 days before the first of the month. To discuss suspending your membership please email memberships@northlincs.gov.uk
We’d hate to see you leave, but you can cancel your membership at any time (30 days’ notice required). To submit your membership cancellation request please fill in the membership cancellation request form. Before you cancel, have you checked that you’re on the right membership type for you? Use our handy tool to check to see what money you could be saving.
