NL Active school holiday activities

Free swimming

North Lincolnshire Council is funding free swimming over the summer holidays across North Lincolnshire for those 16 and under as part of the Summer Daze programme.  Look for the sessions called ‘Summer Daze’ on our pool timetables and find the Epworth Swimming Pool timetable on their website.

We’re also offering crash course learn to swim lessons over the summer holiday at Ancholme Leisure Centre and The Pods. You can find out more on our swimming lesson page.

Team Rubicon skateboard workshops at Winterton Skatepark

Want to learn how to skateboard? Or learn a few new tricks? If so, join Team Rubicon at Winterton Skatepark this summer.

All the equipment such as skateboards, helmets and pads will be provided, and all sessions are FREE.

The sessions are open to all ages and abilities and there’s no need to book, just turn up!

Dates:

• Thursday 25th July
• Monday 29th July
• Monday 5th August
• Tuesday 13th August
• Thursday 22nd August
• Wednesday 28th August

Times:

4pm to 5.30pm, new starters and beginners

These sessions will focus on teaching basic skateboard skills, but will also incorporate some fun little tricks, games and activities. The sessions will take place almost entirely on the flat areas around the Skatepark.

5.30pm to 7pm, intermediates

These sessions will take the form of a more relaxed free ride session with the instructor offering tips and training according to the skills of those attending. The Team Rubicon instructor will just generally engage, encourage and ensure everyone is having a good time and learning new skills.

NL Active Leisure Centre activities

There are lots of opportunities for children to keep active and entertained this summer at NL Active facilities. Whether it’s free swimming, pool activities including mermaid training and giant inflatables, our climbing wall, or discounted racket sports, there’s something for everyone. Summer Junior Gym offer at The Pods

For just £27.50 children aged 11 to 15 years can attend as many junior gym sessions at The Pods as they like between 20 July & 31 August 2024. For full details please contact the customer service desk at The Pods. At time of purchase, a parental consent and membership application form must be completed. Eight-day advanced booking applies for members and 7 days booking for non-members. There are a limited number of memberships available.

NL Active membership offers

Active Summer, six-week Fitness+ membership for only £50!

Fancy getting active this summer? If so, this deal is the one for you! £50 will give you access to the gym, swimming pools, group fitness classes, and racket sports at any NL Active facility for six weeks. Not only that, the first 50 people to sign up to the offer at each site will receive a free NL Active gym towel.

If you enjoy using our facilities over the six weeks and decide to become a NL Active member you won’t be charged a joining fee (usually £20) as long as you sign up whilst your six-week membership is still live.

This offer is available to purchase from 22 July to 26 August either online or at any NL Active facility.

• The Active Summer offer is open to new customers and existing PAYG adult casual gym members aged 18 years and over.
• If you have an underlying medical condition you must undertake an induction with an instructor before using the gym.

• Upgrade your Active Summer 6wk membership to a Gym/Swim/ Fitness+ package before it expires and pay no additional joining fee.
