North Lincolnshire Council’s Adult Community Learning has a wide range of courses available starting on 24 April 2017 and there some special offers not to be missed!

Courses that are half price or less:

  • Level 1 Award in Photography is £75 plus £23 exam fee. You will develop an understanding of basic photography processes and understand how to manipulate images.

  • Customer Services and Business Administration is £50 plus £54 exam fee.

  • Teaching Assistant course is £180 plus £67 exam fee. Develop your knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in schools.

  • ECDL course is £181.50 plus £70 exam. Develop your IT skills to Level 2, gain a qualification to include in your CV and enhance your career prospects.

  • First Steps in Computing: Award in ICT is £50 plus £45 exam fee. This course is for those who are reasonably new to computers and only have basic knowledge. It aims to develop learners’ practical skills in using common software and build confidence in the use of ICT.

  • Level 1 ITQ Award in IT User Skills (formerly known as CLAIT) is £97.50 plus £45 exam fee.  Ideally suited for those who have had only a very basic introduction to the use of IT and wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

  • Learn how to use an iPad and install apps for £46. You’ll be introduced to methods of adding applications and connecting your iPad to other pieces of equipment.

  • Computer Basics course is £46. This is suitable for people who have no knowledge of computers.

  • Painting and drawing for beginners and all abilities is £46. For those who have no recent or previous experience (or no more than two terms) of painting. Develop your painting skills and explore drawing.

  • Wedding floristry and floral jewellery is £35 to £49. For those who have a keen interest in flowers and are looking to develop practical skills and confidence in wedding and event floristry. Suitable for beginners and those with prior flower arranging experience who now wish to learn and expand on existing skills.

  • Creative writing course is £46. This is suitable for people who love creative writing, from beginners to those with some experience.

  • Sew to Your Hearts Content course is £37. Explore the world of sewing and create items of your own choice.

  • Pottery for beginners and all abilities is £58. Learn the processes, techniques and materials needed to take clay from its raw state through to fired and glazed finished pottery.

  • Sugar craft course is from £42 to £46. For all learners, from beginners to those who already have sugar craft skills and wish to progress.

  • Creative crafts course for all abilities is £42. Design and make creative items such as bags, scarves, flowers, decorative knitting or felt pictures.

  • Learn to speak French for £46. You will learn basic phrases for travelling to France.

  • ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) course. For those who want to learn English for life and work in the UK. Call Adult Community Learning for prices.

Free and flexible maths and English courses are available for anyone who does not have a GCSE grade C or above.
