Help spread the word during National Adoption Week (15 to 21 October 2018) that North Lincolnshire is looking for adoptive parents to keep brothers and sisters together.
This National Adoption Week there is a focus on the adopter and as ever the campaign will aim to find homes for those children who so desperately need them.
In North Lincolnshire, there is a real need for brothers and sisters to be adopted so they can stay together as a family. Do you think you could provide a loving home for a sibling group?
When you think of your childhood, your brothers and sisters are often a huge part of your memories. So this Adoption Week, we are encouraging people to think of what their siblings mean to them. We want to find adoptive parents who can ensure brothers and sisters have lifelong memories with each other.
Not only are we looking for adoptive parents who can adopt siblings, we welcome interest from potential adopters who can provide a home for children of all ages and a single child.
There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ adopter and we celebrate people who have different experiences and different things to offer. No child is the same which is why we are searching for adopters who can consider children of different ages and with different needs.
You don’t have to live in North Lincolnshire to adopt with us. Whether you are single, married, gay, renting your home or don’t have your own children, we would love to hear from you.
If you have ever thought about adopting, there isn’t a better time than National Adoption Week to take your first steps towards changing a child’s life.
If adoption isn’t for you, do you know someone who would make a fantastic adoptive parent? Tell them about North Lincolnshire Adoption.
An information evening is being held during Adoption Week on Tuesday 16 October at the Learning Development Centre, Enderby Road, Scunthorpe at 6pm. Come along and meet the Adoption Team, hear from adoptive parents about their experiences and get your questions answered. Refreshments are provided.

Cllr David Rose, cabinet member for Children, Families, Learning and Leisure, said:
“This National Adoption Week we are spreading the message that adoptive parents are needed now in North Lincolnshire. We are specifically looking for people who can open up their homes to sibling groups.
“We know that making the decision to adopt is one of the biggest steps that anyone can take but it is also one of the most rewarding. We would like to hear from people who can offer time, commitment, patience and a loving and stable home.
“If you would like to find out about becoming an adoptive parent, go along to the information evening on Tuesday 16 October at 6pm. If you aren’t able to adopt but know someone who would make a great adoptive parent, let them know that we are looking for adoptive parents.”
