North Lincolnshire Council has awarded £14,850 to Scunthorpe Rugby Club from its Community Grant Funding pot.

The funding is for the development of car parking facilities at the club’s Oglesby Park ground in Scunthorpe.

Cllr Neil Poole, cabinet member for Investment, Assets and Employment, said:

“The Community Grant Fund is there to help and support community groups, like Scunthorpe Rugby Club.

“The club will use the funding to improve the parking facilities and increase parking capacity at their ground at Oglesby Park in Scunthorpe.

“If you are a local community group that could benefit from the Community Grant Fund, get in touch.”

There are three strands to the council’s Community Grant Fund: Grants to Individuals, Community Revenue Grants and Community Capital Grants.
