Dinosaurs take over museum Garden Fete

North Lincolnshire Museum is holding a Dinos and Diggers Garden Fete on Saturday 19 August from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

The Garden Fete is inspired by the museum’s fantastic new galleries, Jurassic Sea and Steel Town.

It is going to be a fun-filled day for all the family. Meet the special guests Tyrannosaurus Rex and Velociraptor dinosaur.

You’ll be able to put on a hard hat and hi-vis vest and have fun on the diggers in the creative construction site.

Then why not join in with fossil making and garden games?

On top of all that there will be performances from Ruby Twirlstars, face painting, craft activities, play sand construction site, pedal tractors, ice-cream van and light snacks.

There will also be a real digger for you to have your photo taken in front of.

It is free to attend the Garden Fete but there is a £1 charge for face painting, you can collect a voucher from the gift shop for this.

Ruby Twirlstars will be performing at 10.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.

Don’t miss the dinosaur appearances 11am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

“The Garden Fete at the museum is going to be a fun day that all the family will enjoy. With dinosaurs making special appearances and the creative construction site, there will be plenty for children to do throughout the day.

“It is the perfect opportunity to explore the fantastic new exhibitions, Jurassic Sea and Steel Town that explore North Lincolnshire’s unique history.
