North Lincolnshire Council is running a one-off group fitness day at The Pods on Saturday 14 January to celebrate the launch of Les Mills BodyPump 100.

This is the one hundredth BodyPump class released by Les Mills that customers to The Pods will be able to take part in starting from Saturday.

Les Mills launches new choreography for their Pump, Attack, Combat and Balance programmes four times a year. BodyPump 100 celebrates 25 years of the programme and the one hundredth release being globally launched on Saturday 14 January.

Alongside launching BodyPump, the new Attack and Combat will be launched.

At the special launch the classes will run as normal in the Energy Studio but with a twist. An extra BodyPump class has also been added.

A group of instructors will be teaching the following classes:

  • BodyPump from 8.30am to 9.30am (fully booked)

  • BodyAttack from 9.45am to 10.45am (fully booked)

  • BodyCombat from 10.45am to 11.45am

  • BodyPump from 12pm to 12.45pm

People attending the classes are encouraged wear the theme colours of BodyPump, white and red.

It is free for members to attend the classes or £4.80 for each class for casual members.

Booking is essential for all classes. You can do this in the usual ways: online, over the phone on 01724 291900 or in person at the leisure centre.

The HIIT Core, Kettlebells and Booty Blast classes are not taking place on Saturday 14 January due to the launch. Yoga will be taking place but in the Wellness Studio.

Cllr Carl Sherwood, cabinet member for Health and Wellbeing, said:

“The Les Mills fitness classes at our leisure centres are always really popular. It is great that we have been asked to join in the celebrations for the launch of the one hundredth BodyPump class.

“We will be holding the same Les Mill classes as usual on Saturday but with a difference. We’ll have a team of instructors teaching the classes and getting everyone motivated to get fit. Those taking part are also encouraged to follow the red and white colour theme.

“If you like the Les Mills classes make sure you book your place to avoid disappointment. Some of the classes are already fully booked. It is a great opportunity to have a go at the new classes.”
