Early Years Foundation Stage assessment key messages

These key messages have been written to support accurate and reliable assessment of children’s learning and development within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

 Key information for childminders 

All childminders need to ensure that they are completing two year Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) checks for any children they care for between the ages of two and three. This is a statutory requirement of the EYFS.

Key information for nurseries, pre-schools and daycare

All providers need to ensure that the health visitor copy of the progress check is returned to the Lead Officer Professional Standards at The Learning Development Centre, Enderby Road, Scunthorpe, DN17 2JL or Hewson House, Station Road, Brigg, DN20 8XJ as soon as it is completed.

The data collection two year integrated progress check log [PDF, 14Kb] is available to download. 

Letter to parents

The letter to parents [PDF, 70Kb] informs parents or carers that their child is due to have an integrated developmental review check.
