Health and care staff and volunteers can gain new qualifications with DN Colleges Group

DN Colleges Group is offering staff and volunteers across Humber and North Yorkshire (HNY) Integrated Care System, the opportunity to gain new skills and qualifications through a bespoke online learning portal.

This exciting offer is fully funded and open to all health, care and VCSE staff and volunteers across our system.

The qualifications available are at academic levels 1, 2 and 3 and cover a diverse range of subjects relevant to clinical and non-clinical roles. There are also qualifications around quality improvement, leadership, equality and diversity and personal wellbeing.

To be eligible to enrol, staff and volunteers must be employed (paid or unpaid) by one of the HNY’s health, social care (including independent sector) or voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations. You do not have to be NHS staff to access the training.

The following guidelines have been developed to ensure that every individual attending a course is able to contribute, participate and benefit from the learning:

  • Anyone arriving 20 minutes following the start of any course without prior agreement may be asked to rebook whether this is face to face or virtually (at the facilitator’s discretion).
  • Delegates are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the start of a face-to-face course to register and access any available refreshments.
  • If you need to cancel your booked place on training, please let us and your manager know as soon as possible so that we can cancel your allocated place.
  • For virtual training there is an expectation that delegates turn their cameras on and their microphones on mute (unless you need to speak) this supports the facilitators to engage with the delegates similar to a face-to-face course.
  • Some virtual training with large numbers of attendees performs better when your camera is off to reduce delays, but your facilitator will advise you of this.
