We recognise the important role that community groups play in making North Lincolnshire an excellent place to work, live and play. We also wish to support talented individuals to become the very best that they can in their chosen activity. We have increased the funds available to support community groups and talented individuals. In return, recipients of grant funding will have to help to deliver key priorities for the area.
We will expect groups, where appropriate, to show that their projects will reduce the impact on the environment and tackle crime and the fear of crime.
Applicant organisations must have policies addressing all statutory responsibilities including health and safety, safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and equality and diversity, which meet recognised standards of good practice.

Sport England’s Community Asset Fund is a new capital fund dedicated to enhancing the spaces in your local community.
Whether it’s the park you run through, the hall you do classes in or the pitch you play on, welcoming and accessible spaces have a big impact on a person’s sport and activity experience – and likelihood of coming back.
As well as traditional sports facilities where people enjoy physical activity, there are thousands of outdoor spaces up and down the country – like canal towpaths, woodlands and open spaces – all with great potential to be used and enjoyed as part of an active lifestyle.
Sport England are keen to hear from any sports club or community organisation with a great idea that will make a difference to the places where people play sport and get active.
You might already own or lease a facility in the local community, are considering taking over some grounds or a facility that has the potential to be used for sport and leisure. They are keen to hear from all of you.
Before applying for the Community Asset Fund their guide and accompanying document will tell you more and includes tips and advice for developing your project or idea.
