Brigg Bike Hub

Brigg Bike Hub

A bike hub was opened in Brigg in March 2016. A Breeze (ladies only) bike ride took place to mark the occasion.

The bike hub provides cycling facilities including a safe and secure place to lock bikes, a public tool station and an information point.

The hub is a cycle-friendly café, the Courtyard Café, within The Angel building in Brigg. It provides a meeting point for Breeze and other social rides in a relaxed and friendly environment for cyclists.

Information about cycling opportunities and local routes are available at the hub. You can also find out about cycling groups and clubs in the area.

Breeze bike rides are for ladies only to encourage more females to cycle. Rides regularly leave from the hub. To find out more visit SkyRide website or visit the where you can find out about local rides for women.

This has all been made possible thanks to a number of volunteers who willing give up their time to volunteer. In May 2016 ten new Breeze Ride Leaders attended British Cycling training to become ride leaders which means that more rides are now taking place across North Lincolnshire.

Ride Social is British Cycling’s fastest growing programme. Sponsored by HSBC UK Ride Social, it is a for anyone who would like to organise their own rides and meet like-minded cyclists. It supports a social network for cyclists. Each ride is described to help you identify which ones are suitable for you and your cycling capability.

Brigg Bike Hub is a partnership between North Lincolnshire Council, Sport England  and Welcome to Yorkshire.
