A wind farm developer has brought a 34-turbine site to North Lincolnshire and has pledged more than £8.5m for community projects.
SSE have two funding schemes available in North Lincolnshire for community projects:
- SSE Keadby Wind farm Community Fund
- The Sustainable Development Fund (SDF)
SSE Keadby Wind farm Community Fund
Around £170,000 per year has been allocated to the SSE Keadby Wind Farm Community Fund and made available to community projects within the North Axholme Ward area.
The SSE Keadby Wind Farm Community Fund is accepting expressions of interest [DOC, 201Kb] from projects within the eligible area (see map).

We have full guidance notes and eligibility criteria [DOC, 51Kb] available for those wishing to apply for the scheme living in the eligible area.
The application procedure [DOC, 176Kb] details how to apply for funding and when the deadlines are.
We currently have two programmes of funding:
- large grant fund – for projects seeking more than £3,000 in grant and over £10,000 in total
- small grant fund – for projects seeking up to £3,000 in grant and no more than £10,000 in total

The Sustainable Development Fund (SDF)
The Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) is in addition to our local community funds and supports strategic projects in the regions where SSE is operating. It allows the benefits of our renewable energy developments to be accessible to a wider area and is directed to projects that can achieve significant impact in local communities.
In 2014, SSE supported over £1.5 million in grants through the Sustainable Development Fund.

Those wishing to apply to the Sustainable Development Fund should submit an expression of interest form [DOC, 1Mb].

Please submit your expression of interest which will be assessed for eligibility and if your project is eligible, you will be invited to complete a full application.
